Seizure Background

I am 53 and waiting for an appointment with a neurologist who I believe is going to tell me that I have epilepsy. I have had some odd "episodes" since my 30's such as suddenly falling to the ground for no reason, being unable to speak briefly, and odd sensations that are followed by weakness on my left side. I have had an abnormal MRI (a chronic infarct) and an abnormal EEG.
