    Seizure Background
    My daughter Katie had her 1st seizure in Sept '08 (a grand mal), just before her 4th birthday. We have been on a roller coaster since then and she has daily myoclonic seizures (but they are now mostly confined to mornings).

    Her diagnosis is Doose Syndrome/Myoclonic Astatic Epilepsy (this is a small but "high functioning" relative of Lenoux Gastaut Syndrome).
    Treatments
    She is currently taking Keppra, Banzel, & Klonopin. We will be starting the Ketogenic Diet on April 25th.
