- Seizure Background
- I have been epileptic since the age of 2 and gone through two Temporal Lobe surgeries (the last one in 1990),my seizures have always been Grandmal as far back as I can remember.I am on Dilantin 400mg a day and have been other meds,the last surgery allowed me to be seizure free for seven yrs and a lower dose of medication.When they returned(1998)it came back with more severity when it came to bodily injuries(e.g.torn rotator cuffs/concussions/facial injuries/upper arm muscle tears)and memory loss.In 2007 I was put on various medications for Depression and Psychosis and Sleep Apeana which all interacted.I am one of three in my family and extended family to have epilepsy that I know of.After my last two seizures it took me three weeks to bounce back to the point where I can go about my daily activities with only a few problems such as short term memory and mood swings.
