- Seizure Background
- I have ADPEAF epilepsy which is a rare genetic form. I was diagnosed at 8 years old and have myoclonic episodes. I only have seizures every 2-3 years if even that as I have "learned" my triggers and have modified my lifestyle accordingly (eg always try to get 7-8 hours sleep a night). I have 2 children 10 and 7 years. I had a siezure during the last stages of labour with my 10 year old and another during labour in a miscarriage. I have a licence (which occasionally has been suspended) and live a full and happy life.
