- Seizure Background
- I was diagnosed with JME when I was 14. It's been almost 10 years. I have been lucky enough to be able to control my seizures for the most part. I have had 8. 3 of which have been this year. My new doctor believes two were because I was on generic (my old doc didn't tell the insurance I needed Lamictal, not generic). I have had 3 doctors, 2 amazing and 1 horrible. I started out on Depakote. I gained 25 lbs in 3 months and was sick for 5 months off and on. My doc switched me to Lamictal, and I have been "stable" for the most part.
