- i have had my medication altered about 12 months ago due to side affects from the epilim i was taking , this was removed and replaced with lamotrogene which i do not like due to the fact its too fast acting and does not stay in the system long enough i am also taking tegratol retard which i have been taking for over 20 yrs now but my consultant says that in 10 months he will begin taking me off the tegratol and replacing it with more lamotrogene which to be honest i am dreading as i am having enough problems with the dose i am on at the moment
