- Seizure Background
- I have a comprehensive biofeedback clinic in Austin, TX (www.austinbiofeedback.com) that provides neurofeedback to patients with seizure disorders. I have 20+ years' neurofeedback experience and am a licensed psychotherapist. I am BCIA (Biofeedback Certification Institute of America) certified in EEG neurofeedback at the Fellow level, and am certified in QEEG (quantitative EEG, or "brain mapping") at the Diplomate level. I am a past president of ISNR (International Society for Neurofeedback and Research) and am a current member of the ISNR Foundation Board. I am also a past president of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), and was instrumental in getting these two organizations to cooperate for the greater good of the bio-neurofeedback field. One of my missions is to get the word out about neurofeedback's efficacy and to help secure research funding to that end through ISNR's Foundation Board and AAPB. I also have a family member who has a seizure disorder (now controlled with EEG neurofeedback).
- Treatments
- We use EEG neurofeedback to control my adult child's seizures. We also offer it at my clinic as part of a comprehensive training package, including diet, stress control, & CBT.
- Location
