- Seizure Background
- I am a 18 years old girl from Quebec City that has been diagnosed at the age of 16 with Primary General Epilepsy. My first seizure, of course, was a huge surprise for me, and has been the result of a night without sleeping but with a lot of drinking. Since that moment, I have been put on Keppra, that did not control my epilepsy. After that, lamictal did not work either. I was put on lamictal and Epitomax for a year, but over the EEG the neurologist was disatisfied with the results when I was sleeping. This is why I switched for Lamictal and Epival a few weeks ago, hoping that it would be btter this time. But the good thing is that I did not do a techtonic seizure for a year now, and that it has only been partial seizures with my jaw, which still was not confortable but better than the complete seizure though.
