    Seizure Background
My son was diagnoised with epilepsy when he was 1 he is now almost 13 he has been on several different medicines for his seizures and has failed many of the ones he has tried. the past few years he has been on keppra and depakote er they have seemed to be the best combination so far that has controlled them. for the past year and a half we have been pre testing for the epilepsy surgery due to them finding that his seizures are coming from the left frontal lobe. this friday 5/28/10 he has his last test to do which is the WADA. They have penciled in a date for his temporal lobectomy for june 18 they said if he passes the wada test then odds are the surgery will be ok. im really scared to death about it all but he so wants the surgery so bad. im torn on if im making the right decision.
