- Female who was not diagnosed until last year. Missed the Ca. Bar Exam, missed the one where they allowed me to take it sitting in a hotel room with a human monitor. Never knew what happened. Just had absence seizures. Now 62, married, and have taken Dilantin for one lousy year. No MORE Grand Mals, but also, cannot sleep, gained 20 pounds, have reptile skin; twitchy eyes; lack of concentration; mood disorder; one hand trembles when I hold a fork; can't drive, left foot swim, walk away from home; ANYTHING ELSE?
