Hi Mflint; Hope all is well.
Don't have such a downer on yourself - all is not lost. In many ways it's beginning as it's where you go from here that matters. I'm just an ordinary, everday Irish loon - fortunate" to have a couple of months in HDU to count my blessings. Idelogical? Maybe, but my blessings are my wife & kids - nothing else. I accepted everything & got on with my lot. - Perverted fun!
I say it honest words, how I feel & no-one can condemn me for that.
My wife is a nurse * does schools etc. Leave diet queries with me.
Where in Germany are you? Work takes me very regularly, wife is from just outside Lueneburg & we go over at least 6 times a year. Next trip is Weinachtsfest! - Which I always enjoy too, too much!
Take Care & stay in touch!
    Col.

    who are you?
You touched me exactly where I needed it! This is all new for me. I'm not one to let panic and fear take over at the first onset of problems, but I can't claim that suddenly being confronted with epilepsy after 50 years of sports and perfect health doesn't require some coping on my part. I have to really cope and maintain control to not flip out and let myself fall into despair...
How is it that you know exactly what to say in order to give me hope in my situation? your words really help me to see that all is not yet lost. thanks!
I'm a single father and cook using only fresh ingriedents. Do you have any links to web sites with recepies that could reduce my seizures? I myself have an endomorph body type. It doesn't matter what I eat. I stay lean and mean. But my youngest daughter, who still lives with me, has an echtomorph body type. If I were to suddenly start cooking high-fat-low carb she would probably gain weight...
Thanks for your words, you help me stay calm...

Thanks Nakamova; I don't think it's CWE either - probably because a). I was in London yesterday and b) I'm currently on train heading home!
All will be right, no doubt, when I reach the "Frozen North"!
Hope all is well with you.

    Hi Nak,

You might want to check out the "Brockton Enterprise" website. It seems that the Bridgewater Police are getting "Tasers" and the Chief of Police says it's like having a seizure! I was just a little pissed off and tried to respond to the website but it didn't recognize my password, even though I reset it TWICE already. ARGH

Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge of Zonegran with me. I have also learned from your other posts both in response to me as well as others. Even though I have had seizure disorder for a years now, only recently decided to stop living in denial and get proactively involved after a long period of no 'big' seizures ended. Learned the hard way I cant count on med solely to keep this at bay. This site and folks such as yourself have allowed me to make up for too much lost time and feel more positively about the future.

Sorry about that thread on the health care debate. I'm sure sorry I spoke out of order and evidently stepped on some toes. The debate is going on today and I just thought we might be able to discuss it in a friendly way but I guess not. Maybe current events just is not valid here. Again, I'm sorry I ever brought it up. Plenty of other ideas are discussed here and people disagree and are able to bring their ideas to the table without being mean to each other. I didn't realize this topic was so polorizing that it couldn't even be discussed. Again, I'm sorry I ever brought it up. Bye.
