- Seizure Background
- I had my first psychomotor when I was 12, however I was not officially diagnosed until I was 20. I have had seizures most of my life, approximately once a month before diagnosis. Once diagnosed, I finally came under control during my twenties. I experience my first Grand Maul seizure in my thirties. I have been on several anit-convulsive medications including, Tegretol, Lamictal, Depakene, Phenobarbital, Mysoline, ect... I am currently taking 300 mgs of Topamax twice a day and can't stand it. It is causing me to lose my hair and my physician is now wanting to put me on Depakote to control my mini-seisures. However I'm more interested investigating what has worked best for everyone else, especially the possibility of a natural alternative to all of these prescriptions instead of adding more prescriptions. I am currently in ,my mid-fifties and have been battling this for years. I am looking forward to interacting with others who have experienced the same experiences and both offering and receiving support.
