- Seizure Background
- I had my first seizure in the 6th grade (1996) at an overnight lock- in at school. I didn't have another seizure until my sophomore year of high school (2002), when i was then diagnosed with Grand Mal seizures. I was put on Lamictal but still continued to have episodes on a regular basis. My senior year of high school i had to be home schooled while switching my medication to Zonegran, i now take the generic Zonisamide. I have now been seizure free for six years and my doctor thinks i can come off my medicine, but i'm too scared.
