- Hx: simple-partial, complex-partial, tonic-clonic seizures.
VNS implanted 11/25/2003.
Not a candidate for surgery. Multiple seizure foci.
As of February 2009, starting Neurofeedback
Most recent ambulatory EEG showed 10-20 seizures daily
All simple and complex-partial sz. Tonic-clonics under control.
Cause: Brain abnormality-Heterotopia
Mutation during gestation damaged three lobes in right hemisphere. - Treatments
- VNS; Meds: Keppra 4250mg. Trileptal 1500 mg. (prn for status or breakthrough szs: Klonopin .5 mg./lorazepam 3 mg.)
