    Seizure Background
    I have uncontrolled complex partial epilepsy and have been prescribed every available AED in the BNF, all to no avail. I have had epilepsy since aged 5 years - I am now 57. I have approx 2 seizures per week sometimes injuring myself. I can be occasionally incontinent. I am currently prescribed Levetericatem and Pregabalin, but these fail to control seizures. Valproic Acid was prescribed approx 30 years ago and stopped all seizures, only to restart again after seven years.
