    Seizure Background
I started having seizures when i was 9 years old only they were so mild that the doctors told my parents that they were panic attacks until I had a grand mal seizure in the middle of science class in sixth grade. I was then put on a high dose of lamictal and never had a seizure again. When I was seventeen the doctors told me that they could finally weene me off of the lamictal if I did not drive a car for six months. Because I had jsut gotten my lisence I did not want to give it up, i weened myself off of the medication without telling the doctors and did not have another seizure until i was 19 (about 4 weeks ago). I was lucky in that I was home in my bed when it occured. I am now trying to get used to a drug called topomax.
