- I have had Nocturnal Frontal Lobe Epilepsy since I was 15 [23years]
Though diagnosed Epileptic in '92 I was not diagnosed with NFLE until 2008
@ The David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy.
I always have seizures everynight without fail and they are very painful
it is like being woken with someone poking you in the head with a cattle prod.
I am only just learning that I have other symptoms like stomach pain, finger pain, which
I never realised could be linked to my epilepsy.
I am awaiting MRI results that have taken 5 years for me to have due to my pacemaker
which I have due to bradycardia.
I have only just learned of SUDEP and beleive I suffered a near SUDEP episode in 1992
I lost consciouness during a seizure where I couldn't breath and my heart stopped, I was out of it for 50 minutes.
I am married to my best friend and have 5 wonderful children ages from 12-22 - Treatments
