my eldest, adopted daughter, Lindsay (21) has a congenital brain abnormality that causes seizures, vision, motor, and cognitive disablities. She has had seizures for 8yrs. They were complex partials but now has simple partials, tonic/clonic, tonic and atonic seizures. Her seizures increase during ovulaton and menses. The BCP only seemed to increase seizure activity.
Me, the mom: I'm a happily married to my hubby of 17yrs. I have 6 kids--Lindsay, 21, Adam, 13, Erin, 12, Anna, 10, Julia, 7, and Laura, 5. I've lived quite a few places. I was born in Illinois, then on tonto Tennessee, back to Illinios then hung out in Texas for 15yrs. There I finished high school and college and taught 3rd grade. Married my hubby in 1991 and moved to New Jersey. I'm happy to say we moved from there after 5yrs and made a 10 year stop in Louisiana. In 2006 we moved to the Buffalo, NY area. Gosh it's pretty here. I greatly enjoy gardening and collecting. I have several collections. but nothing I want to bore you guys with. haha.
We've found a dayhab program for Lindsay and are just getting all of the paper work complete. It looks like an excellent program and are anxious to get her started.
