Thanks so much Skillefer! I will up mine but of course run it by the gyno. I figure I should start now in case I take the meds or even if I have to during pregnancy...if I ever get pregnant! UGH Now I have Lyme, so I'll hold off again until I'm done with the antibiotics and I get the green light. Thanks again! Kelley

Skillefer, I hope you and baby are both doing well : ) I have a question for you. How much Folic Acid were you taking prior to pregnancy as well as during pregnancy? Currently (not pregnant but trying) I'm taking 1mg. prescription tablets (which I think = 100 something?) I'm not on meds at the moment, but definitely contemplating meds and I was wondering how much you took while on the meds prior and during. THANKS SO MUCH! Kelley

Why don't you tell your DM that your baby has had dozens of febrile seizures within the last week and listen to her reaction? Then, tell her to calm down and let you & your baby live your lives!! (I told people that I have a bit of a dry wit!! )

Skillefer, I'm willing to bet that your childhood injury is the cause of your seizures. From what I learned from a paediatric neurologist, one could sustain a head injury in childhood, only to have it come back as a seizure disorder later on.
