- Seizure Background
- from the best i can recall i was diagnosed when i was 11. I was run over by a car when i iwas 2 almost 3 but my mother has epilepsy and there is also a history of epilepsy in my family. My mother and me both have tonic clonic and myocloninic and well you name the type and we have it. It wasnt until lately that we both learned the different types of seizures. When i was younger when someone would mention "seizure" I would think of someone on the ground shaking, now I know the difference and that there are alot of different types. Anyway, epilepsy runs in my family but i dont think I have passed it on to my children, Thank God.
- Treatments
- Dilantin (phenytoin) 100mg x 4 daily Keppra (levetiracetam) 750 mg x4 daily. Don't drink or do any kinds of drugs other than those prescribed to me.
