    Seizure Background
I started having simple partial seizures right around my 58th birthday last April. I had no idea what was happening to me, but started researching the symptoms and concluded that I was having simple partial seizures. An EEG this past November confirmed seizure activity in the left temporal lobe.

My neurologist put me on Topamax, but it made me nauseous 24/7 and very fatigued, so I want off of it a couple of weeks ago and started on Lamactil a few days ago. Since the dose is still very low and must be built up gradually, I've been having frequent seizures (3 just yesterday). I'm an engineer and had a seizure just before an important meeting yesterday, and I was dizzy and disoriented for several hours afterward. It's really affecting my work adversely, but hopefully the Lamactil will do the trick.

It's nice to be able to communicate with people who understand this condition.
