Yes that is a fun picture. She saw the kiddie glasses and just put them on. She seldom does things like that so I had to get a pic of it.

Well on Monday she had two seizures so I called the gyno and we decided that the BCP wasn't doing what we wanted so we took her off the pill. *sigh*

Thanks for the kind thoughts and words.

    thank you.

Sunday she was 'clean' so to speak. We'll see.

We saw the second madagascar Saturday. It was fun. She may have had a slight seizure during. During the last 10 mins she got very panicky. She does that after a seizure, but being that she is also autistic, sometimes she just gets that way too. We'll see.

We are getting up to the first snow today. Apparently we are under a lake effect snow advisory through out the day. The snow will be gone fairly quickly though as Wed we should get up to 50.

    Have a nice day.

oh no worries, I did talk to the doc. She said it wasn't unusual. If she got to bleeding heavily with clots etc, then we'd have a prob. As it is, it's like a normal period.

I'll let you know how it goes. She took her first progesterone only pill today (well it's the synthetic kind). So far no seizures, but we all know how that goes. From what I've read progesterone tends to raise the seizure threshold and estrogen lowers it. Natural progesterone seems to do the best. I've also read that for some women any hormone lowers the threshold. So we'll see I guess. I've heard that some women have no seizures or reduce during pregn-ness and others it gets worse. Oh we poor ole women really must be ruled by the hormones.

Any ole way, I'll know probably within a week.

Ha! Close, it's Brownfield, how descriptive is that!

My buddies have noticed my tastes in music have changed. I never really dug that speed metal that much, I was a fan of the heavy stuff. Now, in my later years, I listen to Buddy Holly!

What types? I've noticed my musical tastes go through wild changes lately, right now I'm on a Flatlanders kick, ever since I ran onto Jimmie Dale Gilmore in a Lubbock art gallery a year ago...If you like that type of music, try catch a copy of Lubbock Lights. A fantastic music documentary...

been playing since 14, when I was first diagnosed with epilepsy, about 15 years ago. Not really hard to learn, just impossible to master I say, I have been told I am fairly good, but I don't think so. Sure takes awhile to build up the callous though

    Seizure Background
I had my first gtc when I was ten from the chicken pox. It was thought it was from a high fever of course. The seizures just kept coming on. It looks like the chicken pox just triggered what was already there. I have many types of seizures. Grand Mal, Petit Mal, Myoclonic, Simple Partial, and Complex Partial. I also have these seizures nocturnally.I am a happy mom of a 12 and a half year old who also has epilepsy and is delayed with other disabilaties. He is my pride and joy. Alex is his name.
