Is rocket man elton jon? After brain surgery(for awhile) that was the only music I could listen to, that didn't hurt. I read on the net somewhere, unsubstantiated, that he had epilepsy.

Yes, those audio hallucianations, when one hits me if the tv or radio is one i have to turn it off i can't remeber what i was hearing but i sure know it was not what they were saying and this happens with family and friends, they say i will start talking sometimes and it is such a bunch of mush they can't understand a word i am saying. This one of the first experience that was happening when i first started having seizures, and i honestly thought i was losing my mind. I didn't even tell anyone for quite a while, thought they would think i was crazy.
As i said i will have you on my friends list, i just need to figure out how to do so.

Hi Stringbean. I'm Rocket Man. I've just found the conversation that you had about audio hallucianation, and your description is the closest to mine. When I'm having a seizure one of the things that impacts the fear is that I can hear one or more voice, even if I'm on my own, and when there's someone with me, I can't distinguish which is the real voice and which is the hallucinatory voice, hence I don't respond to what the real voice tells me to do. The reason why I looked in to this is because I'm currently doing an MA in Contemporary Music, and I'm doing a research dissertation on links between Epilepsy and Music, for example, Musicogenic Epilepsy, and other connections such as Amusia, Musical Agnosia etc. Would you mind joining me to your friends list?
