    Seizure Background
I began having complex partial seizures in college. I didn't know that those episodes were seizures until 7+ years later when diagnosed with "idiopathic complex partial seizures". I was put on tegretol (carbatrol) with some success (except for the constant feeling of queasiness and fatigue). I stepped off the medication after 5 months due to being pregnant and unable to eat. I didn't go back to the doctor until 5 years later when the seizures became worse. That Dr did no further diagnostic testing and put me on Trileptil based on my description of my seizures. I didn't have any success with this medication(constantly dizzy, apathetic or depressed and very, very fatigued with no seizure control). However, I lost medical insurance and could not afford the dr or the medication. I had to give up driving. I am currently not under a Dr's care--I can't afford it. I am now trying the gluten free diet to see if there is a connection.
