- Seizure Background
- I was diagnosed with spinal meningitis when I was 4 months old. Felt, for the first time, what would later be diagnosed as partial complex seizures at age 12. After years of medications and learning that none were able to effectively control them, I underwent a right hippocampectomy in April, 2003. I was seizure free for almost 3 years when I started having tonic clonic seizures while sleeping. I am currently taking a small dosage of carbatrol which has completely controlled those seizures up to this point.
