- Seizure Background
- First Seizures was 32 years ago when I was 8. Was on meds (dilantin, pheno etc) until college when I took my self off of the meds because I hated the way they made me feel.
Had 3 Grand mals over the next 15 years but the last few years began to have more seizures, mostly myoclonic. Finally found another good neuro I was comfortable and I am now on kepra 2000mg/day
MRI showed scaring in left frontal lobe and EEG showed significant seizure activity in left frontal lobe. - Treatments
- 3000 mg keppra; excercise and disciplined sleep schedule helps a lot. Problem is I work 70 hours a week on average and that usually causes problems with my E.
