- Seizure Background
- I started getting epilepsy at age 15. I was always extremely nauseous before that so I'm not sure if that was the beginning of my epilepsy. I don't remember my first seizure but when I have a seizure, they are simple partial, located mostly in the occipital lobe and in the temporal lobe (according to a video EEG). They are more psych-related than anything: I can't see and I can hear if someone is speaking but I don't know who they are or what they are saying. I can't answer to someone, and I get heart palpitations the rest of the day. I have thankfully been seizure free since October of '08 but ever since I was put on Lamictal I have been going through severe anxiety and panic attacks. I'm also on Zoloft for depression.
