- Seizure Background
- I have had epilepsy for approximately 12 years (started when I was 16). I mainly suffer from grand mal seizures, but I have also experienced abscence and myoclonic seizures. I am currently on Tegretol XR and Keppra XR. I think I have had more seizures over the past few years due to not taking my medication at exactly the same time every day, so I have learned to set the alarm on my phone at 10:30AM/PM. Hoping this solves the problem. The only positive part is that I know when they are coming, always during that time of the month. I actually don't remember the last time I had one that wasn't during that 5-7 day period. I don't let this get me down and maintain my independence as much as possible.
