- Seizure Background
- I'v had Gran Mall siezures since I was 14 years old, Im now 24 years old. I used to be very ashamed of my condition especially after having one in front of strangers, everyone staring at me with a look of confusion on thier faces, it made me feel so uncomfertable. I went 3 years without siezures or meds but recentley had two in a row which I'v had before. I'v been pregnant twice and lost both babies due to siezures. I'v had one driving, thank God I didnt hurt anyone or myself. The siezures stop me from doing alot of things that people take advantage of everyday such as , driving, swimming, taking a bath, living on my own, having babies and much more. I have been on alot of differant meds some in which made me gain or lose wieght, hear and see things, become peranoid, some made me shake ALOT, lose my hair, the list goes on those are the ones that pop up in my head right away. I hated taking my meds. My triggers are lack of sleep, stress, pregnancy, and hardcore street drugs I constantley have horrible nightmares where I wake up sweating and crying. They have been going on for about 3 years now and I havent been on any meds. Another thing is that I have noticed I have a small psychic ability, but only to a certain exstent and when I tell people they just look at me like Im crazy which makes it really hard for me to share with others. If anyone wants to talk more about that send me a message and I will tell you more about it. I figured its worth a shot to see what kind of information I run into on this site. My siezures have helped me become a very strong minded person with ALOT of patience Im very understanding and would like to tell everyone that has Epilepsy Its not our fault we should not feel ashamed of what we have. It could be alot worse, thats the way I look at it, it keeps me going everyday.
- Treatments
- Not on meds, I just try to avoid all triggers. I know its not smart I am in the process of getting a new doctor Im not happy with the one I have now.
