- Seizure Background
- Had first Grand Mal seizure at 23. Temporal Lobe epilepsy diagnosed 12 months later, after waiting 6 months to see neurologist, have an MRI / CAT Scan / EEG get back to neurologist.
Medicated with Epanutin (Sodium Phenytoin) for 12 years, until my gums started to die, nearly poisoned myself so changed to Keppra. Want to get off this as soon as possible.
Epilepsy is controlled, so I'm lucky for that, and I have my driving licence. - Treatments
- Keppra 1000mg bi-daily
