- My 6-year-old daughter just had a series of petit mal and grand mal seizures--this was the first time, and I'm trying to seek as much info on seizures as possible. She has ASD and mild CP but never a history of seizure disorders. I am on a mission to discover a possible connection with Benadryl and my daughter's seizures. I had given her a dose of Benadryl the night that her seizures began, and it seems to be too great of a coincidence. Her neurologist actually suggested that this may have been the cause.
