- Seizure Background
- I was recently diagnosed with JME (even though I've had it since I was 15, all my docs have missed it until now). I've been on dilantin, keppra, carbamazepine, but I'm being switched back to keppra. I've been 'lucky' enough to have only 5 grand mal seizures (started in 2000), but in 2007, it's like someone flipped a switch and I've had panic and anxiety attacks, had to stop driving, and have felt like I'm a person that I don't know. Last week, I met the only doctor that has listened to me in 2 years - my neurologist wasn't listening, so I found a epileptologist in my area. I got more answers in one visit that I've gotten in two years and feeling like there's hope after all.

- keppra (working up to 500 mg twice a day), carbatrol (600 mg a day), folic acid (1 mg twice a day), vitamin d (400 mg twice a day) & calcium (600 mg a day)
