- Seizure Background
- I was first diagnosed with epilepsy in 1978 when I had a grand mal seizure (though I'd been having jerks in the morning that I didn't tell anyone about for a couple years before that.) I've been on eight meds and never had complete control. I have primary generalized myoclonic, 2 - 6 times a week, that generally last 20mins. to 6 hours. And they evolve into tonic-clonics every three months or so. It'd be more without the meds.
- Treatments
- Currently on 1500MG Keppra 2x daily, also have Ativan as a rescue med. In the past, I've taken Phenobarbitol, Dilantin, Klonopin, Tegretol, Topomax, Depakote, Lamictal.
