- Seizure Background
- I have had seizures since January of 2007.I was put on Keppra and I was on 2,265 a day.My neurologist wanted me on 3,000 a day.I could NOT handle it.Keppra has been complete & total misery for me.I just had a huge grand-mal seizure in April and stoped breathing.My neurologist would NOT switch me off of Keppra,so we found a new one.She automatically said obviously Keppra isn't working for you.I had REALLY bad side effects from Keppra : Moodiness and I would cry over anything.My parents & boyfriend said it was like living/putting up with the devil.I'm on Lamictal now ; 200 mg in the morning & evening.I've had no side effects what so ever ; I love Lamictal so far.I'm back to the old me!
