I think you are right in not approaching this putting down anti E drugs. That might just bring out the daggers.
I am wondering since things like Vitamin B, and antibiotics can increase yeast/fungal issue if anti E meds can do this too. Leaky gut is also a hug issue with food sensitivities.

I can offer the sites that I began my search with:
http://www.stankurtz.com ( he might even be willing to help you since he recovered his child from autism by healing his gut)
    http://www.danasview.net
http://www.dogtorj.com (of course he remains a hero of mine since he began me on my nutritional research)
    http://www.enzymestuff.com/digestion.htm

    Hi Zoe - Welcome back.
I can't give you much info on intestinal bacterial issues, except for some of the websites I use when I need more info. Rebecca has dealt with fungal overgrowth, in fact this is occurring as I write this. This is especially a top ten topic for those working to recover children dx with autism. I know there is a connection between it and neurologist issues.

I do know that antibiotics cause an increase in yeast/fungal overgrowth. Bacteria die-off increases yeast. So the over use of antibiotics in our culture, most likely is causing intestinal imbalance. That is why probiotics have become popular. Also our SAD diet is killing off enzymes which are needed to break down food. The food then just sits and ferments, and creates further problems.

Trying to discuss this with conventional doctors is like talking to a brick wall.

    Good to see you back.
Are you enjoying KY? Any jobs come your way? How is your health?

Just my luck, I started counting the days in my head, and sure enough at the end of her magic week she had a seizure today. I need to research how hypoglycemia is connected to this particular time. She slept and was back to class. She did mention that she had ringing in her head this time.

Hi Zoe, sorry I have not been communicating much through email. The "job" has been consuming my time, which is good. Hope all is well on your end.

I didn't check in here Zoe for an answer, so today is the first day I have read this. Silly me. I guess it only notifies me when there is a new answer on my message list.

Looking forward to your cookies. I will look through my recipes, and send you my favorites. I would love to be able to make them again. I have found a few package mixes that aren't bad. If I don't make them too often, then we don't rely on sweets around the house.

Next week I am going to get back into walking, as I will have a new summer routine. I wouldn't mind having a coffee shop along the way. Guess I would have to come out of the park for that.

Rebecca still is seizure free. This is the rough time of the month, and she appears to be doing very well. I will take her this Thursday with me to learn how to do the NFB treatments. That will be interesting. I am technically competent so I am not too nervous. She was evaluated for constipation, but that doctor was ....wacko. Tried to tell me that going once a week can be considered normal. Told about a patient that was so far fetched, I was ready to run out of the room. As long as she is not in pain, he didn't see any problems with her symptoms. Told me to continue with magnesium.
Told me that all the new information coming out on Autism was just quackery. I never went back for a follow up.
Asked for medical research on: intestinal issues = neurologist issues
Asked me if my doctor agreed with the idea of seizure threshold.
It always is so disappointing to me that they can be so far out of the loop. I put far too much trust in that white coat.

My art has been on hold, while I have been painting every surface in this house. It is looking good and will be put on the market in about a week, then life will be rather interesting. A new adventure.

    Need to run to carpool,
Take care of yourself. Hope that camera comes out soon.

Hope life is settling down for you.
Do you like your new apt? Have you met with the medical team yet?
