Hello! I am new to this forum and am looking for others who are familiar with BRE. My son, Jack, was diagnosed in 2008 and goes thru daytime seizures (and some upon wakening) every 4 months or so. I'm curious to find out what others are doing as far as treatment and just dealing with this type of epilepsy. I'm feeling alone with this crazy cycle of feeling comfortable and then getting hit in the face at the 4 month mark and want to know what others are experiencing and how they are coping. Jack is on both Keppra and Trileptal and we do use a night time monitoring system. I would love to hear from others coping with BRE!

Hi Jen, welcome to CWE!

You may want to check out "the Nursery" forum here, if you haven't already. It's for parents of kids with seizure disorders.

Here are some older CWE threads that mention Rolandic epilepsy -- maybe they will be helpful.
