So, I still don't know what to think really.

In January I had two seizures at home (in my bed) and then my husband took me to the ER where I had a third. They kept me and ran some tests, EEG, MRI and CT scans were all normal.

Because of my lack of insurance I have not taken any of these to be read by another neurologist. So, I don't know if they're perhaps at some 'end of normal' that can still cause seizures.

My husband has noted that both instances have occurred with my menstrual cycle, and I have always been good at paying attention to that.

Anyway, that's my story. Aside from that I have been married for 11 years, we have two kids and a pretty quiet life. I am a childbirth educator and a birth doula. My husband usually works in technology.

hi chargingbird, welcome to CWE!

It's not unusual for the tests to come up negative -- they are imperfect and can miss seizures that are transient or originate too deep in the brain. I hope you can eventually see another neurologist, particularly if you seize again.

Hormonal fluctuations (high estrogen/low progesterone) are a known seizure trigger, so they could well be playing a role in your seizures. If you see a regular GP, you might ask about treatment with progesterone cream or lozenges. You can read more about catamenial epilepsy here:
