I tried she doesnt have off hours coverage. Now ita been about 14 hours since my last dose ... they are spaced way out now. Hate to start the seizure factory back up by taking the medication.

I think the storm has passed. Thank goodness. Thanks for all the support. Cant we just put a cast on it and be good in 6 weeks :)

Still storming :( I wish I understood more. I'm so tired. But everytime I close my eyes all these weird images and flashing colors fly around in my head. Im twitching and head aches every few minutes. Keppra side effects say hallucinations. I never have issues like this, so i can only assume its the Keppra causing all this unrest in my head.

Julie wishes and epileric - I'm so sorry for all that you both are going through. To think of 20 or 40 seiz. a day. Can your Dr. add another medic. (as much as you don't want anymore medic.) to stop this ongoing circle?

Julie when I was on Keppra-for me--I did have hallacinations--having said that PLEASE don't stop your medic. before talking to your DR.

Julie, I hope you are doing better today. Have the seizures gotten any better or worse? Did you take the Keppra? Let us know what the doc says.

I was up till 3 am which totalled 24 hours of the whole thing. I finally fell asleep and just now woke up so that was about 4 hours of sleep. I feel much better. I did not take my Keppra, but I'm taking my am dose now. I'm certain the Keppra caused all of this because it happened to me twice now. I did not have anything like this prior to startng Kepra three weeks ago. It seems to reach a high enough level in my blood by the fourth or fifth day of taking it and then whammy.... seizure storm " thats what I'm calling it " Really to new to it all to know for sure. I will let you know what the doc says, but I don't see her until tomorrow.

I historically have weird reactions to almost all medications. I'm allergic to so many, I've lost track. So to have something this major happen on a drug that is supposed to stop these things, just isn't surprising to me. I will either ask for a decreased dose or a new med. But first I will ask for a proper diagnosis so I know whats happening and then ask for clearer instructions on what to do if this happens again.

It actually sounds like I have a combo of simples and complex partials. But I'm still uncertain. I've never had a t/c.

Can you take any pain relievers to help?

Things got worse. Not the seizures (only a few today) but now I have thoughts that I might hurt myself. Never have I had suicidal thoughts. MY boyfriend WILL NOT leave my side. He knows about the warnings of Keppra and suicidal thoughts.

I will never put another Keppra pill in my mouth. This has been an awful experience. I see my doctor tomorrow.

That's very clear, yes definitely stop with the med and let your doc know. I hope you feel better soon without the Keppra in your system.

Already off it for 24 hours now and feel normal. Heading to doc now. But now afraid she'll want me to take another drug. At the moment I don't want to take anything. My body feels like its calming down from the storm. This E stuff is confusing. I'm so thankful you all are here.

Hope you are doing better today. I take Dilantin and Baclofen, added Depakote and ended up on floor with severe t/c, crying out. After 2 days of that I quit the Depakote and reported to pcp. Interacted so bad. Make sure you check the 'side effects' and interactions from pharmacy. My pcp and pharmacy never should have put them together. Make sure your pharmacy knows all otc and prescriptions with any new meds.
I pray no one experiences such quantities and severity again. Still have too many to count but severity is less. Maybe so for you??

So quitting cold turkey, even when only on it for three weeks and on 1000mg a day was a nightmare. Worse seizures came and they slowly tapered off over 5 days. Very uncomfortable. Not a good idea to quit cold turkey unless you absolutely have too. Ugh! Hard lesson learned.

Oh goodness... :(
Well at least you made it through it alright in the end! :)
So what are your plans now?

Not exactly hun. Seizures ( if that's what they are) are worse now. They changed through all of this. I don't know if they will ever go back. Like I said before keppra was my best friend and worst enemy all rolled into one. Took a million small seizures ( if that's what they are :) ) away like a miracle, but gave me worse more intense more frequent ones in the end.

Im looking for a specialist that covers spine injury and seizures. And one who listens. I have no choice but to deal with this and figure out what is going on.

I know you're not okay, but I meant coming down off of Keppra in general. You were posting about having rather negative thoughts.... :?
I guess what I'm saying is I'm glad you're alright in that respect, we've all still got problems to contend with :)
And it sounds like you've got a good plan to deal with them! Best of luck looking for the right doctor!

Oh yeah totally alright in that respect. I knew what the root cause was. So yes alright.

I know how you feel - I am starting to feel better with my Keppra, but I am still getting multiple seizures a day and I am so, so, so, so tired and weak. Just exhausted.

Hang in there....
