Hello again, I have recently been told to try to find new work that will accommodate with my doctor imposed limitations. I was a case manager in the mental health field which requires a lot of driving. I have a BSW (social work) and would do better if I had my masters but being on disability and not supposed to drive, what do they expect me to do? The no driving is what really has me stumped. How could I get to a new job that I can't drive to and have no access to public transportation? So I was curious what everyone else does for work. Thanks

Gday
I have been trying to work that out too , i have been trying to get a business going with a specialised truck and driver , if i could drive the truck it wouldn`t be hard but i now recon that i may be doing the wrong thing , my dad says get a job on a farm driving a combine header but i really need my truck license for that besides in a $350,000 machine if i did have a siezure they wouldn`t get insurance , from what i can see any thing to do with machinery is out , i have been trying to get something of my own going again just in case i have another siezure and loose my license , maybe i should look at other ways that i would be only doing paperwork ect , i has me buggerd i have never been so restricted in what i can do .

Can you get an advanced counseling degree via online learning? There are some schools that try to accommodate those with difficulties in studying on campus. Perhaps the advanced degree allow you to set up a counseling practice in your home?

I work as a graphic designer out of my home office. Other jobs that potentially allow folks to work from home are computer-related: Web design/programming, coding, etc.

If you were involved with mental health prior to having siezures that`s a great idea as a job for you fron nakamova ! concidering you have epilepsy perhaps you could specialise in counceling people that have E .

I teach online. If you obtain your masters, you might be able to teach online as well. It would be better for you to go on and get a doctorate as well but I think you can obtain some teaching jobs with just a masters degree. I taught some with just my masters. Community colleges require only a masters degree.
Check into obtaining your degree online. Make sure that your schools is regionally accredited and has the proper accreditation for your major. Most schools offer online courses. Start with the state schools in your area and then look at other schools in the country.
