Great article by the author about his kids (a twin girl and boy) with epilepsy, and his son's experience on the ketogenic diet. It also notes the difficulty of getting docs to embrace the idea of using diet as a treatment for epilepsy, especially once anti-epileptic drugs entered the picture.

The article references a terrific speech by Charlie Abrahams to to some 300 doctors, dietitians and researchers at the International Symposium on Dietary Therapy for Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders. Charlie was put on the diet as a kid, and was effectively cured of his seizures. He's now 18. That speech can be viewed on Youtube:
