Thank you MAB, on a quick note.... did you have epilepsy a number of years before your
stroke...... or is it something that came alone/happened after. I am afraid with the tingle I get in my left hand and was wondering was my heart starving my head of oxagine thus leading to my hands tingling.

k

No, my seizures started the day after the stroke.

It is possible that the tingling you are feeling could be part of a seizure or something else. When I had my stroke, my only symptom was tingling in my left elbow. Somehow I knew if was a stroke even when no one else believed me, until they saw it on the MRI. I had to insist that the paramedics take me to the hospital.

Hi sometimes I have felt dizzy when I have started to overdose on my meds. This for me slowly gets worse a bit like vertigo. It may be an idea to check your levels out to rule this out. This can happen when you take the same dose for ages just changes in your body can affect the levels.

Hi twocans,

I have never had a stroke and I have had epilepsy for 64 years. I am 70, ancient.

I take Lamotrigine, 100 mg in the morning, 50 at lunch and 50 at dinner. It can cause insomnia. I found out that I cannot have caffeine of any kind. I am sleepy all day but the tingling in my hand went away when I quit taking caffeine.

Tingling in the hand is a sign of Diabetes. To rule it out, ask your doctor for a test for Diabetes. I have Diabetes.

If you think that your heart is having problems, ask your doctor to be referred to a heart specialist. Better safe than sorry.:ponder:
