I moved to from the UK to France and they put on a different brand of Lamictal than the one I on the UK which caused my seizures to increase. They were well under control before and i actually spent several years seizure free.
I am now back on my previous medication but am having symptoms such a numbess down my right side, including my hand, lips, legs and eyes so it is difficult to talk. Today it has been like this all morning.
I was on the other Medication for 3 months. Do you think that it will take a while to get it out of my system? The doctor didn't seem to know. Perhaps it is why I am getting these symptons?
Any advice would be great.

Hi louiseinfrance, welcome to CWE!

Numbness is listed as a rare Lamictal side effect, but it's probably not related to the prior brand that caused you problems. More likely to be the current one, even though it was problem-free before. What kind of seizures do you have?

Best,
Nakamova
