It's been 23 years I've been with this guy, and lately he can't even return my calls.I've been on 23 different medications.
It's when he doesn't return my calls when he says he will I missed his call by a few seconds and he said he'd call back the next day and he didn't.
I called and cancelled my appointment for next month with him.
He once told me I'd always have sz's.
I have an appointment with a specialist March 31st.
I'm thinking of changing over to a doctor I use to see who took care of my VNS.
He knows my case anyway, I've seen gawds of docs at Emory which isn't far from me.I'm fed up and just want a decent life is all.

You've been through enough, for long enough, to know what you need. I think you should go to whichever doctors you find helpful in your case. Just try to keep at least one who is accessible in emergencies.

I find that some of the best doctors are also the most unavailable doctors.

I really hope you will have some peace and lots of good living again soon.

It might be a good idea to get a fresh look at things and see what another nuero might think and the treatment you might get.

I know the nuero I had been seeing was a "fresh" "new" face at a specialist place and he barely spent a moment with me and never returned my calls.

My new nuero always returns my calls and spends PLENTY of time in his office with me explaining, reassuring and just talking to me. He is also treating me for my stroke. He and my psych are keeping in touch now to make sure meds don't interact and I am doing well between both types.

We all need special drs. like that or at least near and I say search until you find and don't feel guilty for doing that. :) You DESERVE a "decent life" hon. Everyone does!
