Another full blown tonic clonic and guesse what, Buddy did it again. Knew it was coming. Seeing my neurologist today. As for the question of did I walk round in circles first, I don't know.

Just noticed my typo, as I posted this yesterday it should have said seeing my neurologist tomorrow. Seen him today and he wants to up my keppra by 250mg. So started doing that in the morning first then in 2 weeks the same with my evening one.

So sorry to hear about another seizure they always take a lot out of us don't they? I also have tonic clonic and complex partial seizures and take Depakote and Carbatrol and have a vagal nerve stimulator, most recently had a new one replacing the 10 year old one. I have found my seizures have stopped now on the new VNS at least so far. You are lucky to have a dog wanting one and can't have one where I live. I don't drive and work very little and a year ago was awarded disability!! Have a great day. Jeanne

Sorry to hear that. I know that they really kick my butt for days afterward.
I had a partial in Walmart last night myself, but I know that doesn't hurt the same way.
Good luck with your med changes and I hope you feel better soon.

I had a cat who seemed to always know when I was going to have a seizure and if I had one. He'd get up on me and not let me move until he felt it was ok that I did. He was a pretty big boy, his nickname was actually Big, and it was almost impossible to move with him on me. Towards the end of his life when he was around 16 he had a stroke and went blind, couldn't hear and had a very hard time getting up on things but he still seemed to know when I was going to have a seizure. Putting him down was one of the worst things I ever had to do.

I usually don't know what I do before, during or after a seizure unless there is someone there to see me. My husband says I will walk around during some of them.

Through the years my neuro has messed around with my meds. Putting me on different ones, changing the dosages or times that I took them. I also have a VNS. These things have helped a lot. I'm still having seizures but they aren't as bad, don't last as long and I don't get the headaches very often.

Well I won bingo last night so I'm treating Buddy to a new bed this week. I never know what has happened. Somebody has to tell me you'll be ok but you've had one of your seizures. My neurologist is a bit useless. He is referring me to a coleague of his who specialises in epilepsy thankfully because lately my neurologist hadn't a clue what to do about my seizures except up my meds. He even admitted he isn't in the know with epilepsy.

Well at least he's honest...

Yes that's true lol. Just hope I get the appointment with this other person fast, preferably before I have another seizure because every 2 weeks isn't funny. Seizures aren't funny anyway but you know what I mean.

When I was first diagnosed with epilepsy my neuro is great but I'd see my neuro's physicians asst every other visit. This woman was HORRIBLE!!!!! She did nothing to try to help with my seizures. All she did was basically YELL at me telling me I wasn't taking my meds and that's why I was having all the seizures. My mom and husband both came to all my visits with me and we all told her that I take my meds and I take them on time because I have an alarm set on my cell phone. She still insisted that I wasn't taking my meds though.

At my last visit with her I blew up in the office and told them that if I had to ever see her again then I was finding a new neuro to go to. I only see my neuro now and he tries to do as much as he can to help with my seizures, which he has.

My neuro is in a hospital and I went on the web site recently and saw that his physicians asst is now an actual neuro. I feel bad for any of her patients if she still acts the same way she did!

That is awful. Any weird behaviour from Buddy like the night before this seizure he spends the night in my room. Mum said as the seizure started Buddy started barking then there were a couple of bangs I think we all know on here what they were then Buddy continued to bark, my mum thought somebody was at the door, my bf thought I'd just fallen and came to find me on my back apparrantly with my eyes open don't remember that, he said he asked me if I was ok then I rolled onto my side and my eyes shut and muscles started obviously convulsing. On,y going off what I have been told here. Buddy barked til mum got to me so we thought any odd behaviour of him then he sleeps in my room, then if I do have any seizures hopefully I don't he can bark to get somebody to come.

Yeah it did just look as if you'd just fallen at first but then as you say after I asked you if you were ok you turned on your side and closed your eyes and started convulsing. I remember your mum made me a brew as I was shaken up and worried about you.
