I will start by saying that I have no idea about the rules on what post goes where, it never really got explained to me ahhh so I tend to just post here, so I am sorry if it is the wrong place.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had ever noticed a correlation between blood pressure and seizures?
I have extremely low blood pressure, and when it drops too much it triggers one. It's not my only trigger mind you, but it's an interesting one.

Basically, any thread about epilepsy can go in The Kitchen. :)

On occasion, dehydration (which can cause low blood pressure) has been a trigger for me. I don't know if low blood pressure all by itself is one of my triggers, hard to know. but I do think there is a correlation.

Below are a few CWE threads on the topic:

I have pretty low blood pressure and have often wondered if it's linked in any way to epilepsy. I get dizzy spells and have a history of fainting (unrelated to seizures)

I think I had my first seizure on Thursday, my blood pressure has always been a little low (110/70) so I dont know if that was a factor

110/70 is within the normal range. Blood pressure is considered low if systolic (the top number) is below 90 and the diastolic (the bottom number) is below 60.

Really? My GP said that my episode/seizure on Thursday was possibly because of my "low" blood pressure :/ hm.

When I saw my Cardiologist they took my B/P and than stepped out of the room for like 15-20 minutes I had high blood pressure. I was told.167/30

once a year I have a nurse come out and they write down all my meds take my B/P it was 102/70 103/80 The nurse looked really concerned but I'm not sure why?
