It would be nice if the neurologist mentioned this as well. Nobody told me back when I was 22. Personally, I think Tegretol is evil.

That was a small sized study but had interesting results nonetheless. When something as simple and side effect free as some supplementary B6 can help that much in children with that severe developmental disabilities, I don't see the downside to everyone with epilepsy taking some.

regarding the Tegretol, it does get promoted as one of the oldest anticonvulsants which offers a sense of security for some I suppose. However my girl & I learned the hard way.:ponder:
 
Hi again AlohaBird, When you decide to come off of the Phenobarbitol make sure and look up benzodiazepine withdrawal. There are some really good articles about tapering slowly - one tenth of a dose off at a time. I came off in quarters and it was definitely too fast, judging by the after effects.
