Hi guys!
My story is kind of boring, so i apologise in advance!
Well, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2004. Even though I had a normal EEG, I was diagnosed with Photosensitive Epilepsy as I only ever had a seizure whilst in front of a CRT screen (aka an old style TV or Monitor with a refresh rate of under 60hz). I've not been on any medication, and I've not had a seizure since 2005 (I haven't looked at a CRT monitor since 2005 either).
Does this mean I definitely don't have 'normal' epilepsy? I.e, am I only photosensitive? Should I be worried for the future, i.e, could I get a seizure randomly? I ask because I'm now training to be a pilot since it's been 5 years seizure free with no medication. I was confused that I had a normal EEG and yet still diagnosed as Photosensitive, given that's supposed to be the 'be all and end all PSE test'.
Any help from anyone out there would be really appreciated!
