Saw my Neuro's Nurse on Friday, Jan, 25th.
Confirmed it Catamenial Epilepsy; and told me
to stay on the anti-inflammatory medication
that my Primary has me on. No changes in my
medication and there's nothing they can do;
because I'm so irregular and with Catamenials
they are difficult to control, but she was happy
to know that someone from the EF (Epilepsy
Foundation) had been teaching me because it
saved her a lot of time having to explain it all
to me.
However, something bad as like Jan 14th, I
need to go to the ER, but other events - I
won't need to, but just continue to keep a log,
continue to stay on the same medications.
On the other hand, I did tell her that my son's
friend, who's mom is an ARNP at the other Hospital
who obtained permission to get a better ace bandage
than the one they gave me at the Hospital I was
at and plus a small cloth tape, and she stopped
by (her daughter had to stop by anyway, my
son was going with her as she's looking for some
newer used cars and my son's an expert); showed
me how to wrap myself up right, and did inspect
my knee and she's afraid that there is some
damages, but of course I still have one more
week (see the Primary on the 31st), but I'm
off of crutches (they kill my armpits) and I'm
walking with my old cane. She still wants me
off of my leg though and not walk unless I have
to, which is kind of difficult for someone who is
hyper like me!
Good news is - my head is getting better, the
lump, while still there, is shrinking, but you can
still see the bruises, even when I try to hide it
under all the make-up.
I am kind of hoping that my knee will just take
a little longer to heal and not be shipped off to
an Ortho-Surgeon or for an MRI.
But one thing is when my Neuro's Nurse asked
me what I felt like when I woke up: I told her
it's the same thing what I tell all the Neurologists
and the Epileptologists - because I didn't know
how else to describe it, I feel like I've been beaten
up by a gang with baseball bats, I've been saying
this for years. She laughed, I didn't know how else
to describe it.
I'm terrible at trying to describe things!
