Many car companies are trying to make self driving cars. If they ever become a real thing do you think people with epilepsy would be able to use them?

Hard Question To Answer With Assuredness!

valeriedl,
This would be something that would have to be looked at in a case-by-case way! Some people w/E have enough movements included in their seizures and that is something that could be harmful even in a vehicle that is self-driving!
The person w/E would have to be almost motionless and be able to stay away from the controls. Someone w/E could always develop a new part of their seizures which could make it impossible for them to use a self-driving car.
There could be many other good or bad things that could happen so it is something that could never be done across-the-board for all people w/E! :ponder:

I was thinking about that yesterday I sure hope that they work but personally I think the self driving thing won't work unless all cars are self driving. To many random factors.
