i know i keep going on about it but why is my hair still falling out, its starting to get noticeable on my eyebrows now. I have been off keppra 4 month now even my neuro says its unusual for hair to fall out as a side affect. But hes done nothing about it. is there anything i can do or take to stop it falling out and grow back? its getting me really down and i have had enough.
 
Hey CraztChick. I had this, I think it was the epilim that caused it. It sucks =( I've heard really good things about the Hair, Skin and Nails, vitamin supplements. The Swisse one is supposed to be really good, a hairdresser recommended it to me.

Avoid excessive brushing or tying up your hair and look into a protein building shampoo. Redken does a really good one. I hope it helps.
 
Thanx. Its my eyebrows too. I have a hair skin and nails supplement in mt med cupboard. I heard the hair loss is meant to stop when you stop takin the meds so im nw vwry confused. You can really see it on my eyebrows. My doc dont wanna know. I gotta tie my hair up for work thats th obly thing.

Minoxidil? i have never heard of it. Im not even takin the meds now and its still coming out am very confused. Is it meant to stop falling out and griw back if ya not takin the keppra anymore?

I have been off keppra 4 months now and my hair is still coming out. Will this ever stop falling out and grow back? any comments would be great because i am sick of it now
 
is keppra the only med you where on? i can only advise you to eat healthily, dont wash your hair too much, or brush it too much and try lots of hair thickening products and supplements, hope it gets better soon xx

yes it should do, if it has been going on for a while id go back to your doctor as it could be alopecia, i had it a while back and i got a bald patch at the back of my head but the bottom of my hair line it got to about two or three inches big and that patch was completely bald so i went to the doctors and he prescribed me a shampoo that was supposed to stimulate the hair to grow back, it did work then it ran out but i have noticed when i get stressed it starts to come back and it goes away again, have u been stressed recently and is the pill the contraceptive one? id look into that aswel could be a possible side effect? just try not to stress or play with your hair too much and take good care of yourself and it should be fine but if you are really concerned and its got so bad its knocked your confidence then go to the doctors. do you dye your hair? if you do have you changed the colouring product you use, that could sometimes cause an adverse affect on the hair, hope this is of some use to you xx
 
I have been to the doctors so many times about it and my doctor is not bothered. Im paranoid basically. I know its normal for your hair to come out but not your eyebrows or eyelasjes. I cant remember what tbe pill was but im not taking it now. No i dont dye my hair or do anything with it really. I only wash it twice a week.
 
The only thing i can suggest then is to go back to your doctors and demand answers, try seeing a different GP as they as specialise in different things so may be worth seeing another one, or go into a chemist and ask them for advice on shampoos or other products you could use to help your hair, sorry not much use anymore but hope you get sorted soon xx
 
I have done it all. Tried all different shampoos and no1 seems to know what ro suggest or anything. I have been told my hair could take upto 6 months to sort itself out and grow back. Ppl have told me their hair has stopped fallinout and grew back once they were odf the meds. It comes to something when your own doctor dont even know.

try kale and collard greens and the leafies that are in the vegetable section that aren't iceberg lettuce - I think iceberg lettuce gets boring and is a boring standard as a "leafy green vegetable" in terms of a palate, flavor - because it tends to get its flavor from a glop of ranch dressing (at least in my case - mmmmranch)


onion rings and ranch dressing counts as a crunchy vegetable right?... maybe not quite
 
Hair loss

I am sick of this stupid hair loss now, its been 5 months now, i have tried everything nothing is working and im getting a bit sick of it now, im so tempted to shave it off. seriously will this ever stop? my left eyebrow seems to fall out 4 hairs if not more but my right one is ok its strange. any suggestions will be appreciated
 
Yeah they have checked evweything. Its all come back normal. Its only sinve i started the keppra amd come off it. I jhave been off it 5 month this month. Iys just keep coming out. I have been told it can take upto 6 months to stop but the thing is will it stop.
